Express yourself with Tākaro! Feelings & Emotions!
Give your tamariki the words to express how they feel in te reo Māori. This edition builds emotional vocabulary in a playful, pressure-free way, making it a natural fit for younger children and classrooms alike.
Each card displays a selection of symbols, each with a direct Māori translation that players will learn and memorise.
During play, players flip over two cards and race to identify the matching symbols. The first player to correctly call out the associated Māori translation wins the round.
By the end of play, players will be able to confidently recall a range of symbols and their corresponding Te Reo Māori translations, helping to broaden and strengthen their vocabulary.

Brilliant! I bought a set of each of these cards for my kura staff room. New kupu is always welcome and although we are at different places in our te reo journey, these games have been fun and educational too.
Great learning tool
Our ākonga at our Kura love playing these games. It helps them with their confidence in speaking Te Reo as they try to say each kupu as quickly as they can or help their friends if they don't know them. Great, fun way to learn Te Reo Māori.
We have bought a mix of the Tākaro game for our school to use in whānau time. It was a good way of learning some reo while having fun through the game. It is a nonthreatening way to learn.

Kia ora I've only looked at 'feelings & emotions'. I'm enjoying practicing by myself at the moment but next week I hope to share the game with other kaumātua. It's gonna be fun! We'll move onto the next game, after we're all happy to move on that is. Our rōpū has been on a 4 week whakatā but we meet up again next week. I'm sure they'll enjoy playing all the Tākaro games.
