Te Reo for everyone
Tākaro can be played by ages 4+ with each round lasting 10-15 minutes. It relies on the recognition of 57 various symbols, and the correct pronunciation of their Māori names. Tākaro is fun for everyone, regardless of where you are in your Te Reo journey.

Tākaro originated from a simple conversation between friends who were keen to learn and incorporate more Te Reo into their daily lives. Tākaro is incredibly simple yet entertaining and fun for the whole whānau.
Learn to confidently recall symbols and their corresponding Te Reo Māori translations, helping to expand your vocabulary. The game contains English reference sheets for translation but you won’t be using them for long!
